Communication in Context (CC)
These courses provide instruction in writing and oral communication from the perspective of a field or discipline. Good writing and speaking skills are essential to success in and after college in all careers. To this end, these courses offer students multiple opportunities to develop their writing and oral communication skills appropriate to a discipline or field of study.

Goals

The aim of these courses is to engage undergraduates in the forms of inquiry, communication, and scholarly research in a field or discipline. The writing and speaking assignments must be a visible and integral part of the course. Students in such courses should thus expect to write and participate in oral communication activities throughout the term and receive regular feedback.
